The Small Things

 One small thing in particular turned four today. I can't believe it! She is growing so fast! This day four years ago this would of been happening...

Time hasn't stopped flying since... Since then a lot of this has been going on!

Seriously! It has gone by faster than I could dream of! It has been such a blessing to be a Mom to this little girl! I couldn't be any prouder! Not to say everyday has been easy-- which if you're a mom you know this. Everyday is definitely worth it though. Every second! As much as I teach her she teaches me more. Her love knows no limits, she laughs all the time, when people cry she hugs them and tells them to be happy! She doesn't sweat the small stuff! If she spills something she announces that it is all okay she is going to just clean it up! The Lord has truly blessed me and I know for sure I have developed some callouses on my knees. I walk next to her praying for her. For her life that she loves Jesus and has a heart for Him with everything she has in her, when the trials come that I will have the wisdom to help her, that her spouse will be raised to love God, and pretty much anything else you could think of. Thank you Lord for this beautiful, healthy, hilarious, loving little girl. Guide me and strengthen us as we lead her in her life. Happy Birthday Little Girl!

High Five For Friday

Okay, so I love the idea of a High Five for Friday (H54F). Basically its a weekly post about your five favorite things from that week. A chance to stop and reflect on the things you were blessed by over the past week. Sort of a weekly one thousand gifts if you will! Here goes:

1. Is spending time with two of my favorite people this week. Hubs is in seminary and works so our time together is limited. It was wonderful to spend time all together!

2. After 4 years my husband and I have finally booked our "Honeymoon". WORDS CAN'T DESCRIBE HOW EXCITED WE ARE! Did I mention we were excited?

3. As a surprise the Hubs surprised Kendi and I with a trip to Busch Gardens on the 4th of July. It was a blast! I loved seeing K's expressions as she looked at everything. She told us thank you at least two dozen times. We can't wait to take her when she can go and feed the giraffes or the baby kangaroos. :)

4. We all went and saw Spider-Man together. Kendi loves all the Marvel comic book characters. Her favorite Avenger is Captain America. She also really loves to watch movies like her Daddy!

5. I love fireworks. So much fun. Mostly because they're beautiful and you're not sure what they're going to look like until they explode. Which is something I am glad people can't do.


What plans do you have for your weekend? A certain little girl is going to be 4 on Monday. It seems like just yesterday she was born! We have plans to celebrate her this weekend and I can't wait!

Happy Fourth of July!

The Great Artist

My bible study yesterday went over a few verses from James. "Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:14-15. It reminded me of a picture I took Tuesday night. The sky that night took my breath away. It was beautiful! How can anyone doubt there is a God while looking out at His creation? Can I pray for you? Leave me a comment!

Time is of the Essence

Sorry I have been neglecting this little blog for a while! It's been crazy lately! Life goes by so fast!

I wanted to share "A Few of My Favorite Things" right now in this season of my life. 

1. #SheReadsTruth

I LOVE this "little" community. I love that women are reading His truth together and clinging to it. I love that I'm being challenged and look forward to how God is going to grow me.

2. Karen Kingsbury

I love her books. I happened to stumble across one of her books in Target a few weeks ago. I had never heard of her before! I fell in love with her books. The quiet reminders throughout the books that make me check my walk with God. Her new book Coming Home came out today! Go out and get it! I was already crying during her dedications! (Hi Karen!)

3. The Resolution for Women by Priscilla Shirer
This book is so good for me. I read it a little bit at a time so I can soak and process what she says. My most favorite thing is that it doesn't pertain to ANYONE else but me and who I am in Christ. My walk.

4. The Small Things
I am such a girly girl. I go here to read about new hair styles, makeup, accessories, outfits, and more. It's a lot of fun! Today is Kate's birthday! *Happy Birthday Kate*

5. Essie

It's summertime! Time to paint those toes and go to the beach! Really living in the Sunshine State that can be any day of the year. Except when hurricanes/tropical storms come through. (Thank you Debby). Essie always has super fun colors to choose from! Do you have a favorite?

6. 100 Ways to Make Your Marriage Rock
I missed this post when Kristen posted it, but came across it the other night. I love it. I know I have said that a lot lately. It is so important to make your marriage a priority and to fight for it. Her list convicted me  and made me LOL (laugh out loud).
