Every once in a blue moon...

Have you seen the moon tonight? It is B-E-A-utiful! Plus it's a blue moon! How often do those come around? The next one won't be until 2015! Where ever you are go and check out God's amazing creation! His moon is gorgeous tonight!

Woohoo! It's Friday! Here's my top 5 for the week!

1. The Hubs and I have a new tradition of going out to breakfast on Mondays as a family. I love it and I especially love pecan pancakes! :)

2. I started working out this week. I feel so much better when I work out. Kinda kick starts my day into a schedule.

3. My princess. I love that she wants to wear her dress up clothes around to run errands.

4. Sweet text messages from my husband. Pay no attention to the headlight one. He fixed it.

5. For spending time with family and not having a single photo that wasn't photo bombed. I love them!

Hope you had a great week! Praying for you and
I hope you know how much God loves you!

See ya tomorrow! Don't forget to do a quiet time today!

Reading Rainbow

I love books. I remember my mom taking me to the library on Saturdays. It was always a special time for us! Now I carry on that tradition! Usually every week we go to the library and pick out new books for Kendall and I to read. She is just as excited every time we go for new books to read. Today was no exception!

(This was not from today, but still from our library!) :)

 (This is from today!)

Any children's books you are loving right now?

Hope you're having a great week!

Shhhh.... Quiet please!

My husband loves to eat out. Mostly because he gets hungry for something in particular and can't shake it. The only problem is that sometimes Kendall tends to fidget because she is four. I was on Pinterest and found this pin for restaurant kits. Looked like a good idea so we made one out of stuff from around the house. Kendall LOVES IT! We use it for restaurants, grocery stores, car rides, etc. Very handy!

Anything you all use to keep your kids happy and occupied?

Hope you're having a great Tuesday!

Birthdays, Cupcakes, and Isaac

The weekend was fun! Although today we are dealing with some bands from Isaac. Isaac means "he laughs". It appears his name is true to form. It looks like it's going to get ugly. We shall see! Nothing better to do than snuggle up and watch movies.  I know last time I said to bake cookies, but we can't bake cookies every time it storms here! :)

Saturday we baked some really yummy cupcakes for my cousin's birthday. Have you ever heard of Death by Oreo Cupcake? Go here!

It seemed like we had cupcakes all weekend. Saturday there were cupcakes at the benefit. Kendall loved it. Two rows chock full of mini cupcakes.

More pictures...

She had a blast! She especially loved her Fish Skinz hat. She is still wearing it!

Hope you all have a great Monday!

Love List

I love this girl. She reminds me so often to stop and look around and be thankful to God for all that He has blessed us with. Tonight she started spouting all the things she loves! I copied them all down. Maybe I will ask her in a year and see if it has changed. :)

Kitty cats
Some people, little and big!
Big cars
Mommy and Daddy
Her house
Wipes- to wipe her butt
Mommy's purse
Mommy's cup
The Stage

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Cereal Killers and Cupcakes

So my girl decided she wanted cereal last night. She's in that stage where she is independent and wants to do everything herself. It didn't end well for the cereal.

Maybe you remember this from earlier this week?

For the record, Gracie does not eat Fruit Loops. She does however love Frosted Flakes. I learned that I would much rather sweep up Fruit Loops than Frosted Flakes for obvious reasons. Who knew I would be more thankful for Fruit Loops? :)

The zoo on Thursday was really fun! Mom and I brought Kendall, my cousin Lauren, and a little girl I babysit for. We laughed all day and sweated much the same. IT IS HOT OUT. Sorry I know TMI. I loved hearing all the things Kendall has to say about the animals. She is in love with cheetahs right now. We showed her some jaguars and we were corrected that they were cheetahs. It's hard at her age to tell a real difference, okay my age too!

Some pics from the day:

This morning we're making cupcakes! Tomorrow is my cousin LeAnna's 14th birthday party! We are making her Death by Oreo Cupcakes. :) Girl loves Oreos! We are off to clean the house, and later we are headed to a benefit for a law enforcement family. See you tomorrow! Have a blessed day!

Woohoo! It's FRIDAY! Hope you all are having a great day! Here's the high five:

1. New nail polish! Essie in shades Eternal Optimist (pale pink) and Bachelorette Bash (hot pink). "Her colors are pink and pink!" Name that movie!

2. Spent the day with my momma! Our first stop was iced coffee! PTL! We needed some caffeine and it was already HOT out. Win win!

3. Baking cookies with my girl! Always a good time!

4. The hubs and Kendall playing hide and seek. SOOOOO funny!

5. The zoo yesterday! I'll post more pics tomorrow! I think we continuously laughed all day!

Today the verse that keeps popping up is, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves." - Philippians 2:3 I for sure need help with this one! Meditating on this verse! Have a great weekend everyone! See you tomorrow!

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17

Thank you Lord for a beautiful, healthy, intelligent, and humorous daughter. She's changed my life in ways that are too numerous to count. Thank you for giving me the privilege of being her mom, and getting to watch her grow up. Help me to guide her to love You with all of her heart and to love others with everything she has. She truly is a perfect gift!

Goodnight sweet Kendall and goodnight Gracie!

Rain, rain, go away...

So the other day it was doing this outside.

So my girl and I decided to do something that perfectly compliments rainy weather. We baked cookies. Butterfinger cookies. You can find the recipe here. Butterfinger Cookies from My Baking Addiction.

I love baking cookies with Kendall. It's something my mom and I used to do together. These cookies were good, but  not my favorite. My husband and Kendall absolutely loved them! It's a preference thing. I love soft thick chocolate chip cookies. These were crunchy and thin, but they had a lot of flavor. The only thing we changed from the recipe was that we added chocolate chips to it. As you can see we also had to guard them from Gracie. She loves cookies and it is not wise to leave her unattended with them. Hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday! Jesus loves you!

In His Amazing Love,

We delivered some too. Isn't she the sweetest delivery girl? :)
