A Few of My Favorite Things

Whew! It's been a busy week so far! Hubs has been studying his spring break from seminary. Kendall and I have gotten into some activities! My favorites from the week were:

1. Hubs and I went on a date!

2. Going Easter dress shopping! We had a blast!

3. Kendall lost a tooth!

4. Photo shoot with said Easter dresses!

5. Making memories with my girly. Sometimes when life is soooo busy
we forget to enjoy the moments! We have lots of fun plans for this
weekend! Do you?

My husbands parents are coming down from the Carolinas for a week!
We're spending this next week relaxing on the beach! I can't wait!

What are your plans for the weekend? Do you have special traditions for Easter? I'd love
to hear about them! Have a blessed weekend!

Jennis

Turtle Cheesecake

I made a cheesecake for dinner with friends the other night. You know the one I forgot we were having while the cheesecake was in the oven. Yes, that one. :) I got the recipe here! I changed the crust to Oreo. Then split the batter in half. The bottom layer was chocolate cheesecake with chocolate chips and the top layer was regular cheesecake with pecans. Yum!

Chocolate Cheesecake for the bottom layer!

Pecan top layer!

My baking buddy.

Looks good!

Then the rain came! Knocked out the electricity for hours on Sunday! We had to go somewhere else to finish the cheesecake!

My baker girl!

We got ice cream while we decorated. :)

The finished product!

It was really good and husband approved! I loved the carmel middle layer!

Hope you are having a sweet week so far!

A Walk through Palm Sunday

Jumping into the WFMW carnival! On Sunday we took our kids at church through a walk of the week of Palm Sunday! They loved it!

The kids walked through every station learning about the events. They either got to do or put something  in their bag to remember that station. This was our 2nd year doing it and we love it every year!

Do you have any fun traditions for Easter?
